More About Tim Herald

Tim Herald is only the 3rd person on record to ever take a single season muzzleloading shotgun Grand Slam and a single season modern shotgun Grand Slam during the same spring in 2003. Dick Kirby and Jan Chase were the first two to do it in 1991 and 1998 respectively. Tim's 2003 season was truly one dreams are made of. Tim finished his 17th and 18th Grand Slams in 2007 with another double slam. Tim just recently finished his 19th and 20th slam also.

Tim served three consecutive terms on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky State Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and is a past president and banquet chairman of a local chapter. He also has a Master's degree in Natural Resources Conservation from the University of Kentucky. Tim has personally harvested 20 wild turkey Grand Slams and a Royal Slam. Herald has written scores of magazine articles for publications such as Turkey Call , Turkey & Turkey Hunting, Sports Afield, Cabela's Outfitter Journal, Whitetail Journal, Wildfowl , etc., and turkey hunting is his specialty.

Tim Herald Outdoors has also arranged turkey hunts for and filmed with the video crews from Knight & Hale Game Calls, Realtree Roadtrips, The Hunters Journal, Limbsaver Outdoors, Outdoor America, The American Archer, American Hunter TV, Adventure Bound Outdoors TV show.
